NEW CPD APPLICATION FORM

Please note that there is now a new application form to complete if you are applying for ACPSM CPD accrediation. However do not panic the CPD review panel will continue to except applications using the old forms until the end of June for those of you who are just finishing off your applications. For those of you who are just getting started the forms are very similar so it will be easy for you to cut and paste the information from your old form onto the new form.
The new forms have been designed to collect a few pieces of information that the assessment panel have found that they require in order to assist with the assessment process.There is also new guidelines avaliable to assist you in completing the forms that you can download from the website.

CONFERENCE 2007 PRESENTATIONS NOW AVALIABLE

'From Plinth to Podium' was a very successful conference run by the ACPSM last year. The presentations from various speakers are now avaliable for ACPSM members to download from the members section of the website.

Olympic Physiotherapists Appointed

The BOA have just announced the Physiotherapists that will be supporting Team GB for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
From many applicants 8 physiotherapists were successful in their endeavour.
Chief Physiotherapist Nicki Phillips was appointed in January and had the arduous task of the recruitment process.
The Physiotherapy Team for the Macau holding camp are Lynn Booth, Colin Paterson and Sian Knott.
The Physiotherapy Team for the Olympic Village in Beijing are Nicki Phillips, Caryl Becker, Greg Retter, Louise Fawcett, Graham Anderson and Lisa O'Flynn.
All these Physiotherapists are members of the ACPSM and have completed their CPD pathway achieving Gold accrediation.

Physios in Sport branded clothing

Over the next few months ACPSM will be launching their new range of branded clothing. ACPSM members will be able to purchase t-shirts, poloshirts, sweatshirts and possibly other items to wear in your clinics and pitchside. Watch this space for more details.

Would you like to work as a physiotherapist at the 2012 Olympics?

It is predicted that over 500 physiotherapists will be required to work providing physiotherapy services during the lead up and throughout this competition. This maybe providing services at test events, training venues, holding camps and also within the Poly Clinic in the athletes village.
Ensure that you are well prepared by joining the ACPSM now and start working through the new CPD pathway to make sure you are ready.

ACPSM Website - Do You Know Your Login?

As the APCSM webmaster I am still receiving numerous emails from members who have not yet accessed the members pages of the website.
By logging on as an ACPSM member you will be able to:
* view details about job opportunities and courses,
* read the latest newsletter before it is printed
* refer to old newsletters
* interact with your peers in the members forum to seek advice and information
* utilise the 'find a physio' function
* advertise courses or opportunities for employment that you may know about
Logging onto the members section could not be easier. Your username is your first name followed by your membership number and your password is set as default 'acpsm'
Once you have logged on please go to 'my profile' and change your login details to something that is memorable to you.
